Program: Supported Employment Team

Location(s): Openings in Fridley, Maple Grove, and Stillwater MN
Schedule: Monday–Friday, hours vary between 7am - 5pm
Wage: $18.91–$19.96 per hour based on experience and qualifications

Reports to: Program Supervisor/ Program Manager

About Rise

Join our Direct Support Professional (DSP) team supporting adults with disabilities in our Supported Employment Team Program. At Rise, we believe every person deserves the chance to live a life filled with purpose. In this role, you will support individuals with disabilities in developing the skills needed to succeed in community-based employment. You’ll provide hands-on training, promote independence, and help individuals achieve their personal and professional goals. This role requires strong communication, adaptability, and a commitment to person-centered practices.

This position may be filled at the Direct Support Professional Level I, Level II or Level III, depending on qualifications, experience, and program needs.

Responsibilities

As a Direct Support Professional, you will work directly with adults with disabilities to support their goals in both community and program settings. Your day may include:

  • Training and assisting person served to perform tasks efficiently.
  • Ensure quality and production levels are met.
  • Track and record person served individual work production.
  • Provide support services to four to eight people.
  • Implement goals based on the individual's ability to carry out the training objectives.
  • Regularly communicate with team members.
  • Supervise persons served while working and during break times.
  • Provides transportation services as needed. Rise's vehicle may be provided.

Level 1 Responsibilities:
Provide direct support in community employment settings

Assist individuals learning and performing job tasks

Support implementation of individual goals and plans

Level 2 Responsibilities:
Support skill development and increasing independence

Assist with job coaching and task analysis

Assist with documentation and problem-solving

Level 3 Responsibilities:

Perform all level 1 and level 2 responsibilities

Lead daily operations of employment sites

Train, mentor, and support team members

Complete and oversee documentation and reporting

Ensure compliance with program, safety and quality standards

  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and database systems
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
  • Ability to meet DHS Rule 11 and Rise MVR background check requirements
  • Reliable attendance
  • Strong teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a social services setting
  • Experience using person-centered approaches with individuals with disabilities
  • Detail-oriented, efficient, and communicative
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
