Coordinator-Shift Essential Job Duties:
- Schedules Materials Specialists on shifts, collaborates with the other shift coordinator for shift overlap coverage.
- Conducts surveillance of the storerooms and PAR closets, evaluating cleanliness of the supplies, supply bins and facility.
- First point of contact for staff issues, and reports of supply availability or problems filling requests.
- Ensures the use of FIFO method.
- Leads scheduled cycle counts according to supply criticality, usage and cost.
- Oversee the transporting of supplies, equipment following safety protocols.
- Answers calls and requests by customers and fills requests.
- Assist with equipment finding, moving, cleaning as needed.
- Reports on issues with supply availability to the manager.
- Conducts physical inventory on a regular basis.
- Demonstrates knowledge of hospital policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates awareness of Supply Chain activities.
Education, Training & Experience
- High school degree or equivalent required.
- Two years of supply chain experience required.
- Function grasp of standard written and verbal English.
- Accomplished at basic business math.
- Basic computer and computer keyboard experience.
- Flexible work schedule to meet the demands of the department.
- Experience in inventory methods preferred.
