This role offers the opportunity to shape public relations and content strategies for a fast-growing real estate technology platform serving the Canadian and U.S. markets.
You’ll create compelling, data-driven content that helps consumers and media better understand real estate trends.
The role combines content marketing, media relations, market research, editorial work, and visual storytelling.
You’ll build relationships with journalists, develop newsworthy pitches, and support media opportunities across Canada and the U.S.
You’ll also work with data, AI, and visual tools to turn complex information into engaging digital experiences.
The position offers meaningful ownership, experimentation, and opportunities to mentor junior team members.
It is fully remote, giving you the flexibility to contribute from anywhere in Canada within a collaborative, globally distributed environment.
- Develop and execute public relations and content marketing strategies aligned with business and brand objectives, with a strong focus on the Canadian market.
- Research, write, and edit a variety of content, including data-driven blog articles, website copy, newsletters, media pitches, briefs, and other digital assets.
- Collect, analyze, validate, and interpret Canadian and U.S. real estate market data for internal stakeholders and consumer-facing content.
- Develop relationships with journalists, media outlets, and industry publications across Canada and the United States, while maintaining relevant media lists.
- Write and distribute informative, engaging media pitches and respond promptly to media inquiries.
- Translate complex market and data insights into clear media briefs and help prepare spokespeople for interviews and other media opportunities.
- Provide editorial oversight through fact-checking, proofreading, quality control, and ensuring consistency with the established brand voice.
- Support junior team members with research methodologies, data-driven content development, editorial guidance, and best practices.
- Monitor industry news, real estate trends, and media developments to identify new content and PR opportunities.
- Track and analyze PR and content performance, using insights to recommend improvements and optimize future campaigns.
- Incorporate AI, infographics, tables, graphs, and other visual storytelling techniques to make data-driven content more engaging and accessible.
- Collaborate across teams to develop compelling online experiences and continuously experiment with new approaches to content and communications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in content marketing, public relations, media relations, journalism, or a closely related field.
- Strong understanding of the Canadian media landscape, including national, regional, and trade publications, with demonstrated experience pitching stories to Canadian media.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to transform complex information into clear, concise, and compelling narratives.
- Experience creating data-driven content and communicating information visually through charts, tables, graphs, infographics, or similar formats.
- Hands-on familiarity with design and visual communication tools such as Figma and Canva.
- Strong research, analytical, fact-checking, and self-editing skills, with a high standard for accuracy and quality.
- Ability to independently research unfamiliar topics, identify reliable information, and turn findings into useful content or strategic recommendations.
- Proactive, resourceful, and adaptable mindset, with enthusiasm for learning new skills and taking on responsibilities beyond a core specialization.
- Strong interest in real estate, market trends, consumer behavior, and experimentation is highly valuable.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, media contacts, spokespeople, and junior team members in a remote environment.
- Familiarity with AI-powered content and research tools is an advantage.
