Job Description

At ShurMed, we are dedicated to providing immediate, high-quality emergency medical services to the community. We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Paramedic Clinician to join our team and be a key player in our mission to deliver exceptional pre-hospital care.

Primary Responsibilities

Patient Care

Provide advanced life support care to patients in emergency and non-emergency situations, assessing the nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures.

Clinical Judgment

Utilize clinical skills to treat, stabilize, and transport patients in accordance with local protocols and based on individual patient needs.

Communication

Liaise with other emergency services personnel, healthcare professionals, dispatch and family members to ensure appropriate patient care. Communicate with medical control and receiving facilities to ensure continuity of care.

Documentation

Maintain thorough and accurate patient care reports, ensuring all documentation meets state regulations and company policies.

Equipment Operation

Safely and effectively operate emergency vehicles, medical equipment, and devices in accordance with training and established protocols.

Continuous Learning

Attend training sessions, workshops, and seminars to stay up-to-date with the latest emergency medical techniques, procedures, and equipment.

Team Collaboration

Work closely with emergency medical technicians, other paramedics, and healthcare teams to ensure cohesive and patient-focused care.

Compliance

Follow and uphold all state and federal regulations, company policies, and best practices related to EMS.

Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Current Texas state Paramedic license.Valid Texas driver's license witha good driving record.Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certification.Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to lift and maneuver 150lbs without assistance and 300lbs with assistance.Professional appearance with good customer service abilitiesAbility to speak and write English legibly.Bilingual skills (especially Spanish) are a plus.
