This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Analyst Relations based in Canada.
This is a senior, high-impact communications role responsible for advancing an established analyst relations program within a fast-moving enterprise technology environment.
You will shape how industry analysts understand the company’s technology, market position, competitive differentiation, and vision for real-time data and AI.
As the sole analyst relations practitioner, you will have significant ownership and the opportunity to innovate, expand the program, and introduce the company to new analyst audiences.
The role combines strategic planning, executive communications, relationship management, market intelligence, and hands-on program execution.
You will work closely with marketing, product, engineering, alliances, sales, and executive stakeholders to turn analyst insights into actionable business value.
You will also lead participation in major industry evaluations while managing analyst relationships, budgets, subscriptions, and engagement strategies.

- Build and lead the analyst relations strategy: Design and evolve a comprehensive outbound analyst relations program, including analyst and firm tiering, engagement priorities, communications plans, and measurable objectives.
- Manage strategic analyst relationships: Develop and deepen relationships with key analysts at leading industry firms through high-touch briefings, regular engagement, targeted communications, and strategic relationship-building.
- Expand analyst reach: Develop scalable, volume-based communications programs for second- and third-tier analysts while identifying new audiences and opportunities to increase market awareness.
- Position the organization effectively: Serve as a credible spokesperson to the analyst community, proactively communicating relevant company news, product developments, technology capabilities, market perspectives, and competitive differentiation.
- Lead industry evaluations: Own the strategy and execution for participation in Gartner Magic Quadrants, Forrester Waves, IDC MarketScapes, and comparable analyst evaluations, including submissions, briefings, demonstrations, evidence gathering, and fact-check responses.
- Support executive communications: Prepare executive presentations, analyst briefing materials, talking points, and supporting communications; extract and synthesize relevant insights from analyst research, reports, and surveys.
- Generate strategic value from analyst engagement: Cultivate analysts who can serve as positive references and identify opportunities for reprints, sponsored research, whitepapers, surveys, speaking engagements, webcasts, and other strategic activities.
- Manage the AR ecosystem and budget: Own the analyst relations budget and manage relationships, subscriptions, inquiry/advisory access, contracts, and renewals with major analyst firms while optimizing spending against strategic priorities.
- Deliver market intelligence: Actively synthesize analyst reports, research, market data, and emerging technology trends and distribute relevant insights to stakeholders across the organization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with marketing, product management, development, alliances, sales, and executive leadership to ensure analyst engagement supports broader business and communications objectives.
- Continuously improve the program: Measure the effectiveness of analyst relations initiatives, identify opportunities for improvement, and introduce new approaches to strengthen market positioning and influence.
- Professional experience: Minimum of 8 years of communications experience within high-technology environments, including at least 5 years of dedicated analyst relations experience in technology companies.
- Analyst relations expertise: Proven experience building, managing, and expanding analyst relations programs, ideally within complex enterprise technology markets.
- Strategic leadership: Ability to develop an AR strategy, prioritize engagements, build consensus, and operate as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and executives.
- Industry credibility: Demonstrated ability to represent high-technology organizations effectively in competitive markets and communicate complex technology propositions to industry analysts.
- Technical aptitude: Strong technical curiosity and the ability to quickly understand, extract, synthesize, and communicate information from multiple technical and business sources.
- Executive communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to prepare and support executive briefings, presentations, talking points, and high-stakes communications.
- Stakeholder management: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and drive alignment across executives, product, engineering, marketing, sales, alliances, and other functions.
- Relationship building: Demonstrated ability to establish credible, long-term relationships with analysts and industry influencers.
- Operational excellence: Highly organized and capable of managing multiple concurrent priorities, deadlines, evaluation cycles, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.
- Analytical mindset: Ability to interpret analyst research and market intelligence and translate complex information into concise, actionable recommendations.
