NE Sports Hub, "the Hub", is a cutting-edge, world class facility, offering sports and entertainment to athletes of all ages and abilities. With 135k square feet of indoor sports and entertainment space, we are the largest indoor sports dome in New England and the first to provide Trackman golf performance range technology. Our offerings include Golf & Range, Turf Sports, Sports Performance as well as food & beverage offerings. We are looking for guest experience minded individuals to join our fitness focused, fun team.
Position Summary
Working under the supervision of the Turf Division Director, the League Director will be responsible for the management of all youth and adult indoor leagues across all sports. Responsibilities will include planning, organizing, and implementing leagues as well as evaluating league options and market trends to offer the best options for the Hub community.
*This position requires the ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
Requirements:Responsibilities
- Create, develop and manage all Hub league programs
- Hire, manage and facilitate referees, officials, umpires, and other required staff for all leagues.
- Collaborate with Turf Director to ensure league schedules maximize facility usage.
- Provide quality customer support for league related questions, inquiries or issues.
- Order and maintain league specific equipment and supplies inventory.
- Collaborate with Turf and Marketing Directors to strategically and effectively advertise and market league offerings.
- Actively develop, identify and nurture relationships related to robust league offerings.
- Create and issue all league-related communications
- Collaborate with Turf Director to create, edit and update league related rules, procedures and policies, applying best practices, regulations and legal requirements.
- Maintain, measure and report on league participation records, survey results and other associated records and documents to monitor league performance and effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, outside vendors, community stakeholders, participants and entire customer base.
- Develop and manage league budgets.
Experience
- 3-5 years’ experience developing and managing sports leagues and tournaments.
- Experience with a wide range of sports (i.e., soccer, baseball/softball, lacrosse, football, etc.), their rules, equipment needs and best practices.
- Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience in sports management, recreation or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with DaySmart Recreation
