Financial Planning Associate (Mandarin)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Financial Planning Associate (Mandarin) based in Canada.

This remote role supports Financial Planning Consultants in helping high-value clients plan for their financial futures and achieve their business goals. You will provide essential administrative and client support while helping create a smooth, responsive experience throughout the financial planning journey. The position combines organization, relationship management, problem-solving, and attention to compliance and confidentiality. You will prepare client files, coordinate appointments, maintain schedules, and help identify opportunities that contribute to team growth. Working closely with financial planning professionals and internal partners, you will play an important role in delivering thoughtful and effective client solutions. Accountabilities:
  • Prepare and maintain client files, coordinate appointments, manage schedules, and complete administrative activities that support financial planning professionals and overall team productivity.
  • Provide administrative support throughout client engagements while maintaining required compliance standards and ensuring client information and documentation are handled accurately.
  • Work closely with Financial Planning Consultants and internal partners to coordinate activities and respond effectively to client needs.
  • Support business growth by proactively identifying opportunities, improving team processes, and contributing to an efficient and high-quality client experience.
  • Listen carefully to client needs, ask thoughtful questions, and take ownership of issues while collaborating with colleagues when additional expertise or support is required.
  • Handle sensitive client information with professionalism, discretion, sound judgment, and strict attention to confidentiality.
  • Help deliver a consistent, relationship-oriented client experience by balancing administrative precision with responsive and empathetic service.
Requirements
  • Experience in financial services, banking, client service, administration, or a related environment is an asset, particularly where responsibilities involve supporting clients or financial professionals.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prepare documentation, coordinate schedules, manage appointments, and maintain accurate client records.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues, and internal partners.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities, including the confidence to take ownership of client issues and identify appropriate solutions.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment when working with confidential or sensitive information.
  • A client-first mindset, with genuine interest in understanding client needs and delivering thoughtful, solutions-oriented service.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to contribute positively within an inclusive, collaborative environment.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn, with an interest in developing knowledge of financial products, investment portfolios, cash flow analysis, transaction banking, and related financial planning concepts.
  • Mandarin language proficiency is required for supporting the client population associated with this role.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment and meet the expectations of a regular 37.5-hour work week.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and, where applicable, hold the appropriate work or study authorization.
