Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior CloudOps Engineer based in India.
As a Senior CloudOps Engineer, you will own the end-to-end lifecycle of cloud infrastructure, helping build platforms that are scalable, secure, resilient, and highly available. You will lead the architecture and implementation of complex cloud solutions across AWS and GCP environments. Automation and infrastructure optimization will be central to your work, enabling reliable operations and consistent engineering practices at scale. You will provide technical leadership to engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams on high-impact cloud initiatives. The role also involves evaluating emerging technologies and translating them into practical improvements to cloud strategy. This is an opportunity to shape modern cloud infrastructure while working across global teams and complex technology environments.
- Lead the architecture, design, implementation, and ongoing evolution of complex cloud infrastructure solutions across AWS and GCP environments.
- Drive cloud automation and infrastructure optimization initiatives that improve scalability, reliability, security, availability, and operational efficiency.
- Establish and promote cloud engineering best practices, ensuring infrastructure and services are designed and managed according to consistent technical and operational standards.
- Design and maintain infrastructure using technologies such as Kubernetes and Terraform, supporting reliable and repeatable deployment across cloud environments.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and less-experienced engineers, helping develop engineering capabilities and encouraging strong cloud practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and distributed teams to deliver secure, scalable cloud services aligned with business and technical objectives.
- Evaluate emerging cloud technologies, assess their potential value, and contribute to improvements in the broader cloud strategy and technology roadmap.
- Take ownership of high-impact cloud project lifecycles, from architectural planning and implementation through optimization and ongoing operational improvement.
- Support effective collaboration across global onshore and offshore teams, helping coordinate technical delivery and maintain consistency across distributed engineering environments.
- Bring 8–12 years of professional experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, CloudOps, DevOps, or closely related technical environments.
- Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of AWS and GCP, with hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure at scale.
- Have deep practical expertise with Kubernetes, including enterprise container orchestration environments such as EKS and AKS.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices, with the ability to build repeatable, maintainable, and scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Have experience leading the architecture and implementation of complex cloud solutions, with a strong understanding of scalability, security, high availability, automation, and operational reliability.
- Bring experience managing or collaborating with global onshore and offshore engineering teams, with the communication and leadership skills required to operate effectively across distributed environments.
- Demonstrate experience managing high-impact technology project lifecycles and translating complex technical requirements into practical cloud solutions.
- Bring strong technical leadership, mentoring, collaboration, and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to guide engineering teams while remaining hands-on with complex cloud technologies.
- Be proactive in evaluating new cloud technologies and identifying opportunities to improve infrastructure architecture, automation, performance, and operational practices.
- Opportunity to work on complex, high-impact cloud infrastructure initiatives across AWS and GCP.
- Exposure to modern cloud technologies including Kubernetes, EKS/AKS, Terraform, automation, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Significant technical ownership across the full cloud infrastructure lifecycle, from architecture and implementation through optimization and ongoing operations.
- Opportunity to provide technical leadership and mentorship, helping shape engineering practices and develop less-experienced team members.
- Collaboration with global onshore and offshore teams, providing exposure to distributed engineering and large-scale technology delivery.
- Opportunity to influence cloud strategy and technology evolution by evaluating emerging platforms, tools, and engineering practices.
- A role focused on building scalable, secure, highly available, and automated cloud environments with broad technical impact.
