Security Officer - Newmarket

Pay: £14.17 per hour
Contract: Permanent

Knight Protection is seeking an experienced and professional SIA Licensed Security Officer to join an established team supporting a prestigious client in the Newmarket area on a permanent basis.

This role requires a proactive, calm, and level-headed individual who can present themselves professionally at all times and communicate effectively in English.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining high standards of access control for authorised personnel and visitors
• Managing and monitoring public access to the site
• Conducting internal foot patrols and external mobile patrols of the local area
• Responding to incidents, emergencies, and security-related situations as required
• Following and adhering to all assignment instructions and site procedures
• Completing routine paperwork, reports, and record-keeping accurately and on time

About You

• Hold a valid SIA Security Licence (essential)
• Previous security experience of at least 1 year (required)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, professional, and able to remain calm under pressure
• CCTV Licence desirable but not essential

Shift Pattern

• 12-hour shifts
• Days and nights available
• 4 on / 4 off shift pattern available
• 6 on / 3 off shift pattern available
• Weekends included as part of the rota
