Medical Assistant in Glasgow, Kentucky at Med Center Health

Assists provider in completing office examinations. Administers treatment and therapeutic procedures as directed by provider.
Gathers patient information and conducts limited evaluation as required. Performs related technical tasks that support and
complement the provider. Assists with patient and family education. Performs Laboratory functions such as obtaining and
processing laboratory specimens.

Minimum Qualifications

• Previous clinical experience in a physician’s office preferred.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, or equivalent training program required. A combination of workexperience and on-the-job training in a physician practice environment may serve in lieu of the required training program.
• Registered Medical Assistant preferred.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills. Ability to interact with persons of varying backgrounds.
• Ability to identify and address the needs of different patient age groups and the ability to communicate effectively with those patients.
• Ability to organize work priorities and meet multiple objectives under time constraints.
