Job Description
Description: Interact with Suppliers to schedule on-time delivery of Products to meet our Customers’ Requirements while maximizing revenues. Contribute to Cost Saving Programs as well as the development of supplier Programs, tracking shipments, EC and other tasks as assigned by the Manager to fulfill the needs of the position. Ultimately, be able to build strong relationships with internal and external business partners, fostering collaboration and teamwork.
AREAS OF INTERACTION: Interface with Materials Manager, Plant Managers, VP Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Design Engineering, inventory Management, Shipping/Receiving areas, Schedulers, Accounts Payable, Customer Services and Sales Force (this last, when required).
Duties/Responsibilites include but are not limited to:
· Maintenance of Department Procedures, Processes, Reports and Metrics.
· Analyzing data to identify Trends and opportunities for improving business performance.
· Take appropriate follow-up actions and ensure the system is updated with relevant information for the Past Due Orders Report.
· Also review the Open Purchase Order report to look ahead and ensure tracking information and confirmed deliveries are updated in the system.
· Work with Production & Customer Service to ensure that all orders are filled in a timely manner.
· Coordinate Purchasing levels while avoiding Excess inventory.
· Main Focal Point for EC Process with Engineering, coordinating all impact within our department with each of the Buyers involved.
· Create Purchase Orders based on MRP/Usage/Backlog as required.
· Resolve Accounts Payable Discrepancies related to Purchasing activities.
· Work with the Shipping Department when RMA’s or Drop Off Shipments are required.
· General Administrative/Clerical Tasks related to this position as instructed by the Materials Manager.
Special knowledge, skills, and abilities:
ü Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

ü Proactive and Responsible.
ü Reliable and organized, as well as Detail oriented.
ü Extensive knowledge of MRP & ERP systems, (Macola acknowledge will be a Plus)
ü Perfect management of Microsoft Office package, especially Excel.
ü Need to be strong in areas of: Responsiveness, sense of urgency, negotiation, assertiveness, customer service, and impeccable attention to detail.
ü Must posse’s ability to interface well with management and associates to support a team environment.
Education and Experience:
· Minimum bachelor’s degree in administrative science, Engineering, Business or similar. Otherwise, extensive Experience in Purchasing/Planning of materials.
· Minimum 5 years of experience in Purchasing / Planning /Inventory Optimization/ or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
