Member of Technical Staff (Software Engineer, Comet and Native Apps)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Member of Technical Staff (Software Engineer, Comet and Native Apps) based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to build next-generation native and desktop applications that redefine how users interact with knowledge and AI-powered workflows. You will contribute to high-impact products spanning mobile, desktop, and Chromium-based environments, shaping intuitive, fast, and deeply responsive user experiences. Working across a modern, multi-language stack including Rust, Kotlin, Swift, and TypeScript, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and ship production-grade features at scale. The environment is highly collaborative, blending product, design, infrastructure, and machine learning expertise to deliver seamless end-to-end experiences. You will also leverage advanced AI coding tools and agentic workflows to accelerate development and innovation. This is a fast-paced engineering role where ownership, adaptability, and technical excellence directly influence product direction and user impact.

Accountabilities:
  • Build and ship high-quality native and cross-platform applications across desktop and mobile environments, ensuring strong performance and usability.
  • Collaborate closely with product and design teams to implement intuitive, fast, and scalable user experiences.
  • Work across multiple codebases and technologies, including systems-level and application-level development using modern programming languages.
  • Utilize AI-assisted development tools and agentic workflows to improve engineering velocity and code quality.
  • Partner with data science and machine learning teams to instrument applications, analyze usage patterns, and improve product performance.
  • Contribute to deployment, testing, release, and monitoring processes in collaboration with infrastructure and QA teams.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Proven track record of shipping high-quality native applications in production environments.
  • Strong software architecture skills with the ability to write clean, scalable, and maintainable code understandable by both humans and AI systems.
  • Deep understanding of application performance optimization and system behavior across platforms.
  • Ability to own projects end-to-end and proactively drive features from concept to release.
  • Strong adaptability to work across diverse tech stacks such as Rust, Swift, Kotlin, TypeScript, and modern web/native frameworks.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional engineering environments.
