Strategic Portfolio Transformation Lead

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Strategic Portfolio Transformation Lead based in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of executive strategy, enterprise transformation, and operational execution, helping organizations bridge the gap between high-level strategy and measurable outcomes. You will work closely with senior leadership teams to design and implement transformation programs that reshape governance models, operating structures, and portfolio management practices. The position requires guiding complex organizational change while ensuring alignment across multiple stakeholders and business functions. You will also play a key role in introducing AI-enabled ways of working to improve decision-making, efficiency, and scalability. The environment is highly collaborative, consulting-driven, and fast-paced, requiring strong leadership, facilitation, and problem-solving capabilities. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys executive engagement, and is passionate about driving enterprise-wide transformation.

Accountabilities
  • Lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives focused on governance, operating model design, portfolio management, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Partner with executive stakeholders to define transformation goals, success metrics, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Design and implement portfolio governance and prioritization frameworks to improve strategic alignment and decision-making.
  • Facilitate executive steering committees and governance forums to ensure clarity, accountability, and alignment.
  • Assess current-state operating models and develop future-state designs that improve scalability, agility, and performance.
  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable programs, execution plans, and measurable outcomes.
  • Drive change management efforts, supporting adoption and alignment across complex organizations.
  • Identify and implement AI-enabled and automation opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and governance.
  • Advise leadership on responsible AI adoption and emerging trends impacting organizational transformation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Information Systems, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in management consulting, enterprise transformation, portfolio management, or organizational change leadership.
  • Proven experience working directly with executive stakeholders and senior leadership teams.
  • Strong expertise in designing governance frameworks, operating models, or portfolio execution systems.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic roadmaps and translate them into execution-ready plans.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with comfort navigating ambiguity.
  • Experience leading change initiatives in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Preferred: experience in consulting, large enterprise environments, PMO or portfolio management functions, and AI governance or AI-enabled operating models.
  • Certifications such as PMP, PgMP, Prosci, Lean Six Sigma, or similar are a plus.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package aligned with experience and impact.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer match.
  • Flexible PTO and remote work options.
  • Opportunity to work with enterprise clients on high-impact transformation programs.
  • Professional development and continuous learning opportunities.
  • Inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance consulting culture.
