About the Position
A Billing Specialist is responsible for managing and processing financial transactions, invoices, and payments within an organization. Their main role is to ensure accurate and timely billing and collection of funds from customers or clients.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for verifying information necessary to bill customers for all of the Bridgeway Family of Companies. Includes matching paperwork (delivery receipts and bills of lading) and verifying all billing information for accuracy.
- Responsible for printing freight bills that we received paperwork and which have been verified.
- Research any discrepancies with paperwork or agent requests.
- Assist others where needed, such as load entry, scanning/indexing.
- Working daily unknown billing report, and weekly intercompany report.
- Responsible for the accuracy of paying the drivers when the paperwork is received.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- 1-3 years of related experience
- Transportation industry experience preferred
- Skills – High volume and high accuracy document review and data entry – Comfort working in multiple systems (proprietary and industry based)
