Full-Time or Part-Time | $1,000 Sign-On Bonus

Position Summary
The Dental Hygienist performs dental hygiene duties to promote quality dental care in a stress-free, safe, and welcoming environment. This role includes scaling, prophylaxis, digital x-rays (DEXIS), documentation, and patient and parent education. The hygienist follows universal precautions and adheres to OSHA and HIPAA requirements to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Additional responsibilities include stocking and maintaining equipment and inventory and supporting overall clinical operations as needed.

Required Qualifications

    Current Massachusetts Dental Hygiene LicenseCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) CertificationHepatitis vaccination recommendedContinuing education requirements fulfilledFlexible availability, including some evenings and weekends

    Adheres to all HIPAA policies and procedures, protecting private information at all timesAdheres to all Chestnut Dental Associates policies and procedures as outlined in the CDA Employee HandbookAbility to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, seeking assistance when appropriatePositively represents CDA to patients and families by demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skillsMaintains a friendly, professional attitude and works well with children in a pediatric settingDemonstrates the ability to manage conflict effectively with difficult patients and/or parentsWorks well with interruptions and manages multiple priorities efficiently, completing tasks in a timely manner while staying on schedulePerforms effectively under pressure in a fast-paced clinical environmentExhibits professional behavior and maintains respectful relationships with doctors, administrators, supervisors, colleagues, patients, and outside representativesSpeaks, understands, and writes fluent EnglishMaintains current knowledge of dentistry and industry best practicesDemonstrates strong manual dexterity and clinical proficiencyPositively represents CDA to patients and families by exhibiting excellent communication and human relations skills

Physical Requirements
Must be able to withstand extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and sitting. Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and adequate vision are required.
