What is a Tinter?
The Tinter is responsible for adding and adjusting colorants to products to achieve precise color specifications. This role works with formulations, color standards, and production batches to ensure consistency and quality in finished products. The position plays a critical role in maintaining color accuracy, supporting customer requirements, and ensuring product quality across production.
What You Can Expect to Do as a Tinter:
- Add and adjust colorants to production batches based on formulas and specifications
- Match product colors to customer or standard color requirements
- Perform color checks and make necessary adjustments to achieve desired results
- Maintain accurate records of color formulations and adjustments
- Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure consistency
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Handle and store colorants and related materials properly
- Maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment
- Troubleshoot color-related issues and inconsistencies
- Support continuous improvement in tinting processes
What We Are Looking For in a Tinter:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, color matching, or related roles preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to distinguish colors accurately
- Ability to follow formulas and detailed instructions
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to work in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
- Good communication and teamwork skills
