Job Description

At InsCipher, our commitment to our customers is what drives us.

Ours is a culture of innovation and progress. We are a creative team of doers constantly striving to develop value-driven products and services for our customers.

Our ultimate goal is to become the trusted authority and leading partner for state departments of insurance, surplus lines associations, and brokers nationwide. We’re achieving that goal by enhancing every facet of our customers reporting and tax filings through education and innovative, streamlined compliance solutions.

We’re growing fast and want you to be a part of it!

We're seeking a strategic and technically proficient Accounting & Finance Systems Manager to join our team. This remote role is responsible for owning, administering, and evolving the organization's accounting and finance technology stack – with NetSuite as the core ERP system of record – across Veracity, Insurance Canopy, and InsCipher.

This role operates as an internal consultant and platform owner, partnering directly with Accounting, FP&A, Operations, and Technology leadership to translate business challenges into scalable system solutions. The goal is clear: elevate the organization's finance systems maturity and build a unified, high-trust operating environment where NetSuite and its surrounding ecosystem run reliably, integrate cleanly, and enable better decisions across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own, administer, and maintain the NetSuite ERP platform across active modules, ensuring platform stability, security, and operational effectiveness – with clear accountability for minimizing unplanned downtime and maintaining proper sandbox/production governance
  • Administer and govern supporting accounting and finance platforms (e.g., Ramp, Datarails, and future systems), maintaining consistent security, access, documentation, and change management standards across the full stack
  • Configure and manage custom records, fields, forms, workflows, saved searches, dashboards, roles, and permissions within NetSuite
  • Manage sandbox and production environments, deployments, release cycles, and platform governance standards
  • Support and oversee SuiteScript customizations, workflows, and automation initiatives in alignment with NetSuite best practices
  • Design and maintain integrations between NetSuite and supporting finance systems, ensuring data flows are reliable, auditable, and properly reconciled – eliminating manual re-keying and reducing error rates across platforms
  • Operate as an internal consultant to Accounting, FP&A, Operations, and Technology leadership – proactively identifying enhancement opportunities, translating business challenges into scalable system solutions, and driving measurable reductions in cycle time across core workflows including financial close, AP/AR, and expense management
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and implementation partners on enhancements, integrations, and ERP projects – serving as the internal point of contact and maintaining accountability for outcomes and knowledge transfer back to the team
  • Manage support tickets, escalations, and vendor relationships for all systems under this role's ownership
  • Ensure compliance with security, access control, audit, retention, and governance standards – and maintain SOPs, documentation, configuration standards, and operational readiness processes across all managed platforms
  • Support reporting, dashboards, and financial visibility tools within NetSuite and related platforms, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely, and aligned with Accounting, Insurance, and Government standards
  • Drive training, onboarding, and user adoption across the finance systems stack – monitoring automation impact, data quality, and platform usage as ongoing measures of this role's effectiveness
  • Required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on NetSuite administration experience across multiple modules – non-negotiable
  • Experience managing ERP implementation, enhancement, or systems optimization projects end-to-end, including coordination with third-party implementation partners
  • Strong understanding of accounting and finance workflows including AP, AR, financial close, and reporting processes
  • Experience administering supporting finance platforms such as Ramp, Datarails, Brex, Adaptive, or similar tools
  • Technical fluency across NetSuite's customization and integration toolset – SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, SuiteBuilder, SuiteTalk REST/SOAP, middleware, and API-based approaches
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as an internal consultant – proactively partnering with business stakeholders, translating challenges into system-driven solutions, and communicating effectively across finance, operations, and technology teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including advanced formulas and pivot tables
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; NetSuite Administrator or SuiteFoundation certification preferred

Perks

  • Health, dental, and vision plans
  • Amazing work-life balance with 4 weeks of Paid Time Off
  • 10 Paid Company Holidays with 2 floating holidays
  • 401K Programs with employer match
  • Personal assistance programs for support in a healthy personal and work life
