This role sits at the intersection of Workday system expertise, customer support, and functional HR benefits consulting, supporting organizations in optimizing their Workday Benefits environment. You will work directly with customers and internal teams to troubleshoot complex system issues, manage configuration requests, and ensure smooth execution of benefits-related processes. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will translate business requirements into effective Workday solutions while guiding best practices across benefits administration. The position requires strong analytical thinking, technical configuration skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced service environment. You will also contribute to system improvements, testing, and documentation while staying current with Workday releases. This is a highly client-facing role suited for someone who enjoys problem-solving, system optimization, and delivering high-quality support in a dynamic SaaS ecosystem.
In this role, you will support Workday Benefits customers by resolving complex issues, ensuring system accuracy, and contributing to continuous improvement across benefits configuration and support processes.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customers on Workday Benefits cases, issues, and enhancement requests
- Troubleshoot, coordinate, and resolve complex system and configuration issues in a timely manner
- Analyze business requirements and provide Workday-based solutions aligned with best practices
- Configure and support key benefits processes including Open Enrollment, ACA, COBRA, and plan design updates
- Perform system testing, documentation, and validation of changes and production moves
- Maintain case management workflows, ensuring effective prioritization and resolution of multiple requests
- Provide peer review support and mentor junior consultants when needed
- Stay updated on Workday releases and enhancements and communicate relevant impacts and recommendations to clients
- Contribute to process improvements, methodology adherence, and service delivery optimization
The ideal candidate combines strong Workday Benefits expertise with consulting experience, problem-solving ability, and strong communication skills in a customer-facing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Active Workday Benefits certification required
- 2–4 years of Workday Benefits experience, including configuration and support knowledge
- Strong understanding of benefits concepts such as plan design, COBRA, EOI, and age reduction rules
- Hands-on experience with Open Enrollment, ACA configuration, rate changes, and data loads
- Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Bonus: Workday Reporting certification or reporting experience preferred
