This role offers the opportunity to contribute to mission-critical federal systems by building secure, scalable, and high-performance applications across both .NET and Java ecosystems. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to deployment and ongoing support. The position involves close collaboration with architects, technical leads, and stakeholders to translate complex requirements into robust technical solutions. You will develop modern web applications and services that meet stringent federal security and compliance standards. The environment is highly collaborative, Agile-driven, and focused on continuous improvement and engineering excellence. This is a hands-on engineering role where your work directly impacts the reliability and modernization of large-scale government systems.

Accountabilities:
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications and services using C#, .NET Core/Framework, Java, and Spring Boot.
  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices to support enterprise-level system interoperability.
  • Develop responsive front-end applications using frameworks such as Angular, React, or similar technologies.
  • Collaborate with architects, analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Support modernization initiatives by migrating legacy systems to cloud-native architectures on Azure or AWS.
  • Perform code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and ensure adherence to secure coding standards.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and backlog refinement.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices and system performance.
  • Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity, quality assurance, and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of software development experience with C# (.NET Core/Framework) and Java (Spring Boot).
  • Strong experience building front-end applications using Angular, React, or similar frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and object-oriented programming principles.
  • Experience with relational or NoSQL databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, including containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative development environments.
  • US Citizenship required with eligibility for Public Trust clearance.
  • Preferred: experience in federal IT consulting environments, DevSecOps practices, API gateways, messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and cloud certifications (AWS or Azure).
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIST is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in secure, regulated environments.
Benefits:
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance starting the first month after hire.
  • 401(k) plan with immediate employer contributions (no matching required).
  • Generous paid time off, including PTO, paid wellness day, and 10 federal holidays.
  • Pet insurance coverage for employees’ pets.
  • Tuition reimbursement, internal training programs, and support for industry certifications.
  • Engaging work culture with team events, wellness activities, volunteer opportunities, and social gatherings.
  • Recognized as a Top Workplace multiple years in a row.
  • Opportunity to work on impactful federal digital transformation and modernization initiatives.
