Director, Systems Engineering

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and mentor global Corporate IT Engineering teams across multiple regions, ensuring reliable, scalable, and secure internal systems and endpoint management.
  • Design, implement, and optimize cloud-native and SaaS-first infrastructure strategies that support organizational growth and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and execute enterprise-wide automation initiatives using tools such as Okta Workflows and Workato to streamline onboarding, reduce support overhead, and improve user experience.
  • Drive the adoption and integration of Generative AI technologies and intelligent workflows to enhance productivity and business processes across departments.
  • Oversee the evolution of Identity and Access Management (IAM) frameworks, ensuring security, compliance, scalability, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with executive stakeholders to define strategic roadmaps, technical standards, and operational priorities for global IT systems.
  • Establish engineering best practices, documentation standards, and asynchronous collaboration processes across distributed teams and time zones.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, or enterprise technology environments, particularly within high-growth or rapidly scaling organizations.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams and overseeing internal IT systems and infrastructure operations.
  • Strong expertise in architecting and deploying enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions and cloud-based SaaS ecosystems.
  • Hands-on experience managing enterprise macOS and Windows environments without dependence on traditional Active Directory or on-premise infrastructure.
  • Proven knowledge of modern workplace technologies including Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Zendesk, Atlassian, and related collaboration tools.
  • Experience designing automation strategies, AI governance policies, and operational workflows within enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with integrating Generative AI platforms such as Gemini, Claude, or similar technologies into business and developer workflows.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear roadmaps, SOPs, and strategic plans.
  • Strong organizational and stakeholder management abilities, with experience supporting global teams across multiple time zones.
