Wage Range: $46,020.00 - $65,000.00

Position Summary:
Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations of the Aki Bistro and Mino Grill as well as supporting other Food & Beverage areas as needed. Supervise front-of-house staff, including bar operations, hosts, servers, bussers, and food runners while ensuring exceptional food quality, beverage service, guest satisfaction, cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards. Support employee development, operational efficiency, and departmental profitability through effective leadership and communication.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
The Restaurant Assistant Manager is responsible for the following duties:
- Assist with scheduling, payroll review, attendance tracking, inventory, ordering, and labor cost controls to support departmental budgets and operational goals.
- Supervise daily restaurant operations and provide leadership during assigned shifts to ensure service standards are consistently achieved.
- Coach employees and provide ongoing performance feedback while supporting the Restaurant Manager with employee development, corrective actions, and documentation.
- Ensure guests receive exceptional service by monitoring food quality, beverage presentation, cleanliness, and overall dining experience.
- Support training initiatives, employee orientations, and departmental meetings in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor completion of opening, closing, cleaning, maintenance, and side work duties to maintain operational readiness and compliance standards.
- Assist with product ordering, receiving, storage, inventory management, and monthly inventory counts.
- Enforce compliance with all national, state, local, tribal, and company safety, health, sanitation, and food safety regulations.
- Address guest concerns and employee issues professionally and promptly while escalating matters to the Restaurant Manager when appropriate.
- Complete required paperwork, reports, and shift documentation accurately and timely.
- Promote company products, programs, and special events while building positive guest relationships.
- Act as Manager-on-Duty in the absence of the Restaurant Manager and provide operational support to other Food & Beverage outlets as assigned.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications – Education and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One (1) year of restaurant, hospitality, or food and beverage supervisory experience.
- Ability to lead and direct employees in a fast-paced service environment.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three (3) or more years of restaurant, hospitality, or food and beverage supervisory
experience.
- Previous experience in an assistant manager or leadership role.
- Experience in high-volume food and beverage operations.
- Hospitality degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and inventory control procedures.
- Experience with scheduling, payroll systems, and employee development.
- Advanced knowledge of food and beverage operations.
