Impact Summary:
The Principal Structural Analysis Engineer serves as the foremost technical authority on aerospace structural integrity, helping to set the strategic direction for the organization's most critical and complex programs. Operating at the intersection of advanced engineering and executive leadership, this role defines engineering standards, drives enterprise-wide innovation, and helps to shape long-term technical vision. Principal Engineers influence organizational strategy, cultivate high-performing engineering culture, and serve as key ambassadors for the company's reputation in the global aerospace industry. Their decisions carry broad, lasting consequences across programs, client relationships, and competitive positioning.
Responsibilities:
- Define the technical vision and engineering strategy for the most complex, high-visibility aerospace structural programs across the organization.
- Serve as the technical authority and escalation point for structural analysis challenges, design decisions, and validation frameworks.
- Drive the development and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide engineering standards, methodologies, and best practices for structural analysis and finite element modeling.
- Partner with executive leadership to align engineering capabilities with organizational strategy, business development, and client growth objectives.
- Lead cross-functional and multidisciplinary engineering teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Establish and oversee governance frameworks for review, approval, and quality assurance of technical drawings, analysis reports, and program deliverables.
- Representing the company as a subject matter expert in client engagements, proposals, and industry forums, reinforcing the organization's reputation as a leader in aerospace structural analysis.
- Identify, assess, and drive resolution of high-consequence technical risks across programs; develop enterprise mitigation strategies for structural integrity concerns.
- Promote the adoption of advanced computational tools, simulation technologies, and emerging methods in FEM and structural analysis.
- Mentor and develop junior, senior and staff engineers, building organizational depth and succession within the structural analysis discipline.
- Contribute to talent strategy, including hiring, performance evaluation, and career development of senior technical staff.

Requirements:Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline required.
• 20+ years of progressive experience in aerospace structural analysis, finite element modeling, or related engineering disciplines.
• Demonstrated history of technical leadership at the senior or staff engineer level, including ownership of large-scale, high-complexity aerospace programs.
• Thorough understanding of aerospace regulations, certification requirements, and industry standards (e.g., FAA, DoD, MIL-STD, NASA, or equivalent).
• Expert in industry-standard analysis and simulation tools; experience with Simcenter FEMAP and NASTRAN strongly preferred.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance required.

Salary Information:
The estimated starting salary for this position between is $187,200 - $208,000 annually however, the successful candidates starting pay will be based on, but not limited to, their experience, qualifications, skill set, work location, and market conditions. Pay and Benefits are subject to change at any time and may be modified at the discretion of the company.
