Wells Fargo Controller

Location – London Bridge
Contract Type – Full-Time (Permanent)
Shift Pattern – 3 Days / 3 Nights / 3 Off (12-hour shifts)
Rate – £15.35 per hour

Role Purpose

The Physical Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment at a high-profile Corporate Head Office. This role involves delivering professional security services as part of a core team, supporting day-to-day operations through patrolling, access control, incident response, control room duties, corporate event security, and other key functions expected within a corporate financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

Access Control

  • Manage and monitor access to the building, ensuring only authorised personnel and visitors are admitted
  • Verify identification, issue visitor passes, and ensure compliance with site access procedures
  • Professionally challenge any unauthorised access attempts

Patrolling

  • Conduct regular internal and external patrols of the premises
  • Identify and report security, safety, or maintenance issues
  • Ensure doors, alarms, and security systems are functioning correctly

Loading Bay Duties

  • Manage and monitor loading bay access in line with site procedures
  • Verify delivery documentation and authorisation for vehicles and contractors
  • Control vehicle movements to ensure safety and security
  • Monitor deliveries and collections to prevent unauthorised access or loss
  • Report discrepancies, suspicious activity, or safety concerns promptly

Incident Response

  • Respond quickly and effectively to incidents, alarms, and emergencies
  • Provide initial incident management and escalate where required
  • Complete accurate and detailed incident reports in line with company and client requirements

Control Room Duties

  • Monitor CCTV, access control systems, alarms, and other security systems
  • Maintain accurate logs and incident records
  • Communicate effectively with on-site teams, management, and external agencies

Corporate Event Security

  • Provide security coverage for corporate events held on-site or at associated locations
  • Support guest access, registration, and crowd management
  • Liaise with event organisers and internal teams to maintain a safe environment
  • Respond to any incidents in a calm and professional manner

General Duties

  • Maintain high standards of professionalism, customer service, and discretion
  • Follow all site-specific assignment instructions and procedures
  • Work collaboratively within the team to ensure continuous site coverage
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and health & safety requirements

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a corporate, financial, or high-profile security environment preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • Good observation and decision-making skills
  • Competent IT skills for reporting and security systems

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (essential)
  • Valid CCTV Licence (essential)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Ability to work a 3 days / 3 nights / 3 off shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays
  • Smart, professional appearance and strong timekeeping
