Front Desk Receptionist

Plymouth Dermatology Associates is seeking a hands-on Practice Manager to lead day-to-day clinical and operational activities within the practice. This role is responsible for supporting providers, leading staff, strengthening workflows, improving accountability, and helping the practice grow while maintaining a high standard of patient care. The right candidate will be both people-focused and systems-focused — someone who can lead a team, improve operations, and create consistency across the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients in a professional, welcoming, and efficient manner
- Manage check-in and check-out processes with accuracy
- Schedule appointments and maintain provider schedules
- Collect and verify required forms, insurance information, and documentation
- Obtain accurate patient payment based on insurance at time of service
- Verify and confirm patient referral authorizations
- Confirming Appointments for upcoming patient appointments
- Handle a high volume of incoming calls and patient inquiries
- Enter and update patient information in the EMR
- Support front office workflows and administrative operations
- Follow office procedures consistently and maintain professionalism under pressure
- Coordinate and communicate with other offices for patient appointments
- Stable weekday schedule in a specialty medical setting

Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a medical front desk, healthcare reception, or medical administrative role preferred
- Experience with medical scheduling and EMR systems preferred
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and scheduling platforms
- Excellent communication, customer service, and multitasking skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working within a structured, process-driven office
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday-Friday
- Daytime hours aligned with practice operations
- No weekends
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary based on experience $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
