Job Description

Maintenance Technician – Night Shift ($2 shift differential)
12-Hour Rotating Schedule (2/2/3) | Full-Time | Straight Nights
Manufacturing Environment (Non-Climate Controlled)

What You’ll Do:

  • Maintain and repair production and facility equipment
  • Perform reactive, corrective, and preventative maintenance
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Respond to breakdowns and complete scheduled maintenance
  • Diagnose issues, replace parts, and test equipment
  • Read and follow manuals, schematics, and work orders
  • Use tools, meters, and maintenance systems (CMMS)
  • Perform basic machinist, plumbing, and carpentry work
  • Support root cause analysis and reduce downtime
  • Follow all safety procedures and keep work areas clean

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED - Required
  • Associate's Degree in Mechatronics - Preferred

Work Experience and Technical Competencies:

  • 1 year as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing plant - required
  • 3-5 years as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing plant - Preferred
  • Advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with motors, bearings, and equipment repair
  • Ability to read schematics and technical manuals
  • CMMS or work order system experience
  • Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to understand and interpret process settings and center lines
  • Ability to read and interpret Fitesa product codes, production schedules, and operations documents
  • Ability to use a calculator and apply basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to read and interpret measurement from a ruler, tape measure, or other measuring device in standard and metric systems
  • Statistical Analysis skills with the ability to establish and audit against goals

Preferred Certifications:

  • CMRT (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician)

  • Willing and able to work flexible hours including rotating shifts as needed

Physical Demands:

This position requires frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The position walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under extreme temperatures in a non-climate-controlled environment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
