Vice President, Sales

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Vice President, Sales based in United States.

This executive leadership role offers the opportunity to drive revenue growth across a dynamic multi-platform media network with a strong local audience presence. The successful candidate will oversee the full sales organization, shaping strategy while ensuring flawless execution across regional and national markets. Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a pivotal role in expanding advertising and sponsorship partnerships, strengthening market positioning, and accelerating business performance. This position combines strategic vision, operational excellence, and hands-on sales leadership in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Ideal for a proven revenue leader, the role provides significant influence over commercial success while leading and developing a high-performing distributed sales team.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and exceed advertising and sponsorship revenue objectives across a diverse portfolio of digital media products and platforms.
  • Own the entire sales lifecycle, including prospecting, pipeline management, deal negotiation, forecasting, renewals, and client retention.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with advertisers, agencies, holding companies, and strategic partners.
  • Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute revenue strategies across local, regional, and national markets.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop a distributed sales team, fostering accountability, performance, and career growth.
  • Establish rigorous forecasting, budgeting, and pipeline management processes to ensure predictable revenue performance.
  • Refine sales methodologies, pricing strategies, packaging, proposals, and marketing collateral to improve win rates.
  • Collaborate with client success, operations, and marketing teams to optimize offerings and enhance customer value.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Champion CRM best practices, sales enablement tools, and responsible adoption of AI technologies across sales operations.
  • Travel regularly to key markets to strengthen relationships with clients, partners, and team members.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in digital media, advertising, or sponsorship sales with a demonstrated history of exceeding revenue targets.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing high-performing sales teams across multiple locations or regions.
  • Strong expertise in multi-market and network sales environments, including regional and national advertising programs.
  • Experience selling audio, podcast, video, digital, or integrated advertising solutions.
  • Proven ability to translate commercial strategy into scalable sales processes, playbooks, and operational frameworks.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with an established network of advertisers, brands, agencies, and industry stakeholders.
  • Strong storytelling and presentation abilities, capable of communicating compelling value propositions to executive audiences.
  • Advanced forecasting, budgeting, CRM management, and sales operations expertise.
  • Experience leveraging AI-powered tools to improve prospecting, research, proposal development, and sales effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated success coaching, developing, and promoting sales talent.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong accountability, business acumen, and results-oriented leadership.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic planning capabilities.
