Sr Account Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr Account Manager based in the United States.

This remote opportunity is ideal for an experienced enterprise sales professional passionate about helping K-12 education organizations maximize the value of technology solutions. You will manage a portfolio of strategic customer accounts, driving renewals, cross-sell, and upsell opportunities while building long-term partnerships with school districts and educational leaders. Working in a collaborative, customer-focused environment, you'll own the full sales cycle from territory planning through contract negotiations. The role combines strategic account management, consultative selling, and relationship development, offering the opportunity to influence customer success while contributing directly to sustained business growth. Accountabilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive territory and account strategies to maximize growth across an assigned portfolio of existing customers.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, solution positioning, pipeline development, forecasting, contract negotiation, renewals, and upsell opportunities.
  • Build trusted relationships with district administrators, education leaders, and stakeholders across multiple departments to identify evolving business needs.
  • Collaborate with marketing to support demand generation campaigns and participate in digital outreach, networking activities, conferences, trade shows, and regional events.
  • Deliver compelling presentations, product demonstrations, and consultative discussions that communicate business value and drive customer engagement.
  • Partner closely with customer success teams to ensure successful solution implementation, adoption, and long-term customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, prepare quarterly and annual territory plans, and consistently manage a healthy multi-year sales pipeline.
  • Represent the organization professionally while contributing to revenue growth through strategic account expansion and exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of successful enterprise account management or sales experience managing existing customer portfolios.
  • Proven history of exceeding annual sales quotas exceeding $1 million.
  • Strong experience with consultative, solution-based, or value-based sales methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex sales cycles involving multiple decision-makers and long-term engagements.
  • Experience selling technology solutions to K-12 schools, school districts, or the education sector is highly preferred.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop accurate quarterly and annual sales forecasts while managing a strategic territory.
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% throughout California, with occasional travel for meetings and training.

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $80,000–$95,000 annually, plus uncapped variable commission opportunities.
