About the role

The Residential Plumbing Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in residential homes ensuring work is completed to code, meets safety standards, and delivers high-quality service to customers.

What you'll do

• Install and repair plumbing systems including water supply lines, drainage systems, and gas piping.
• Perform inspections and diagnose plumbing issues in residential properties.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications.
• Serve as an onsite point of contact and leader for apprentices and helpers, providing guidance and on-the-job coaching.
• Provide customers with detailed job estimates, timelines, and maintenance recommendations.
• Invoice standard jobs and collect payment from customers after job completion.
• Operate hand and power tools to complete installations and repairs.
• Work with PEX, PVC, copper, and other plumbing materials.
• Install water heaters, faucets, toilets, and other plumbing fixtures.
• Maintain a clean and safe worksite and adhere to company safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized company assigned vehicle.
• Safely maintain and keep up with company provided technology
• Keep detailed records of work completed using mobile software including job notes and pictures.
• Participate in emergency/on-call rotations and respond to after-hours service calls.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in residential and/or commercial plumbing.
• Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (CDL preferred, though required for hauling roles).
• Ability to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening, if applicable.
• Maintain active DOT medical card.
• OSHA 10/30 or other safety certifications desired/not required
