About Linkly

Linkly is a PE-backed, Australian fintech focusing on payment integration solutions. We are a leading provider in ecommerce recurring billing, and our middleware powers over 200,000 terminals and processes over two billion transactions annually. Our applications support over 800 integrations into POS solutions. We have built our reputation through seamless integration of payment terminals and POS systems and are continuing to innovate in creating a terminal and acquirer independent payment solicitor for in-store. Our clients include major banks and retailers such as Woolworths, David Jones, JB Hi-Fi, and Bunnings.

Our goal is to continuously lead the payments industry with new technology delivering value to clients, which who include merchants, banks, acquirers and POS vendors, expanding our presence into other regions.


About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to own Linkly's in-store payments product end to end. As Head of Product, you will define the strategy, build the roadmap and drive execution across terminal integrations, cloud-based solutions and merchant experiences. This is a hands-on role: you will lead and execute the work alongside a very small team.

The immediate priority is driving execution across MPOS2 specifications, Cloud onboarding evolution, PayApp migration and platform modernisation, navigating technical debt to translate complexity into real customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy and Leadership

  • Define and own the product strategy and multi-year roadmap for Linkly's in-store payments portfolio.
  • Build a product investment approach balancing customer needs, technical sustainability and commercial returns.
  • Partner with the CEO and Executive Team on strategy, growth initiatives and investment priorities.
  • Lead and execute the work alongside a small product team, staying close to delivery.

Product Portfolio Management

  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for the in-store portfolio, from discovery through delivery, adoption and optimisation.
  • Drive prioritisation across competing customer, operational and strategic demands.
  • Establish product management disciplines, governance and success metrics for the in-store portfolio.
  • Ensure alignment between product strategy, engineering capacity and commercial objectives.

In-Store Payments Leadership

  • Lead product direction for Linkly's in-store ecosystem, including terminal integrations, cloud-based solutions and merchant experiences.
  • Own strategic decision-making and hands-on delivery across MPOS2, Cloud onboarding evolution, PayApp migration and platform modernisation.
  • Partner with Engineering to address technical debt without sacrificing product momentum or customer value.
  • Ensure in-store products serve the needs of merchants, banks, acquirers and POS vendors.

Customer and Market Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with key customers, banks, acquirers, POS partners and strategic stakeholders.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring product decisions are grounded in market needs.
  • Represent Linkly in customer engagements and industry forums.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Engineering, Delivery, Operations, Sales, Client Services and ELT to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Translate technical concepts into clear commercial outcomes for stakeholders and customers.
  • Support go-to-market planning, product launches and customer adoption initiatives.

Commercial Performance

  • Own product revenue growth, customer adoption and commercial performance metrics.
  • Develop business cases and investment proposals for major in-store initiatives.
  • Balance innovation, technical sustainability and profitability in product decisions.

What You'll Need

  • 8+ years of product management experience, including leading products in a technical payments environment.
  • Proven, hands-on experience with in-store payments, including terminal integrations, POS systems and merchant experiences is essential.
  • Deep understanding of payment ecosystems: merchants, acquirers, banks, gateways, terminals and integrations.
  • Strong technical product capability, able to engage credibly on architecture, APIs and technical debt.
  • Commercially minded, with a track record of delivering revenue growth, customer value and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including with senior leadership and customers.
