Senior Advisor - Medical Officer/Informatics Technician

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Advisor – Medical Officer/Informatics Technician based in the United States.

This is a highly specialized advisory role at the intersection of clinical medicine, healthcare informatics, and health policy innovation. The position supports the design and evaluation of advanced healthcare delivery and payment models aimed at improving quality while reducing costs. You will provide expert clinical and informatics guidance on initiatives involving interoperability, AI in healthcare, remote patient monitoring, and patient-driven data exchange. Working closely with senior leadership and multidisciplinary teams, you will help shape strategic decisions that influence national-level healthcare transformation efforts. The role requires deep medical expertise combined with strong systems thinking and the ability to translate clinical insight into scalable informatics solutions. Accountabilities:
  • Provide clinical and medical informatics expertise to support the design, testing, and evaluation of innovative healthcare delivery and payment models.
  • Advise senior leadership and cross-functional teams on healthcare interoperability, clinical data standards, AI applications, and remote patient monitoring strategies.
  • Contribute to strategy sessions with senior stakeholders across areas such as quality, risk adjustment, value-based care, and interoperability.
  • Translate complex clinical and scientific evidence into actionable insights to inform model development, operational design, and policy decisions.
  • Support the development and refinement of data frameworks, analytical approaches, and system interoperability standards across initiatives.
  • Engage with internal teams, external experts, clinicians, and industry partners to strengthen program design and credibility.
  • Conduct in-depth research on emerging trends in clinical informatics, digital health, and healthcare innovation to inform long-term strategy.
  • Provide ongoing subject matter expertise to ensure clinical validity, data integrity, and alignment with best practices in healthcare informatics.
Requirements:
  • Medical Doctor (MD) with a specialty in Internal Medicine.
  • Active, unrestricted medical license and board certification in Internal Medicine.
  • Board Certification in Clinical Informatics (American Board of Preventive Medicine).
  • 10+ years of relevant clinical, informatics, or healthcare systems experience.
  • Deep expertise in clinical informatics, interoperability frameworks, healthcare data standards, AI in healthcare, and digital health technologies.
  • Strong ability to analyze complex, ambiguous healthcare challenges and develop structured, evidence-based solutions.
  • Proven experience advising senior leadership and collaborating with multidisciplinary clinical, technical, and policy stakeholders.
  • Strong research skills with the ability to synthesize scientific literature and translate findings into strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex medical and technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently in highly complex, evolving healthcare environments.
