About the role

· The Group Plant Controller is responsible for the operational leadership of the Group finance function across Australia and the United States.

· The role is accountable for the integrity of financial reporting, financial control, compliance, budgeting, forecasting, tax management, audit coordination and finance team leadership.

· Acting as the senior finance operations leader, the Group Financial Controller translates the strategic direction established by the CFO into effective financial processes, controls and reporting disciplines across the Group.

· The role is a key partner to the CFO, enabling the CFO to focus on strategic growth initiatives, governance, capital management, investor and Board matters.

What you'll do

Financial Reporting and ControlLead monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processesEnsure timely and accurate management reporting Oversee balance sheet integrity and reconciliation processes Maintain accounting policies and financial control frameworksManage group consolidations across Australia and the United States Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standardsMonitor working capital performance and financial risks

Planning & Performance

· Lead annual budgeting processes

· Coordinate rolling forecasts and reforecast cycles

· Support strategic planning and scenario modelling

· Deliver meaningful financial analysis and performance insights

· Monitor key business performance indicators

· Identify financial risks and opportunities

Governance, Compliance & Risk

· Maintain financial governance frameworks

Manage statutory reporting obligations

· Coordinate external audits

· Support tax compliance across all jurisdictions

· Ensure compliance with delegated authority frameworks

· Maintain internal financial control effectiveness

· Support enterprise risk management activities

Finance Team Leadership

· Lead the day-to-day finance function

· Develop capability across the finance team

· Establish clear accountability and performance expectations

· Drive a culture of continuous improvement

· Support succession planning and workforce development

· Manage outsourced finance service providers

US Finance Oversight

· Provide financial governance oversight for the Kentucky operation

· Support the US Plant Controller on accounting, reporting and compliance matters

· Review US financial results and key performance indicators

· Ensure consistency of accounting policies across jurisdictions

· Support the ongoing development of the US finance function

Systems & Process Governance

· Act as long-term business owner of NetSuite and Rippling following implementation

· Partner with the Finance Systems & Process Lead during implementation

· Approve financial reporting structures and control frameworks

· Maintain finance master data governance standards

· Ensure financial systems continue to support business growth and scalability

· Champion process standardization and continuous improvement

Stakeholder Management

· Partner with operational leaders across Australia and the United States

· Support the CFO with Board and executive reporting

· Maintain relationships with auditors, tax advisers and banking partners

· Collaborate with the Business Systems & Process Lead, Group IT Manager and operational leaders

Key Performance Indicators

· Accurate and timely month-end reporting

· Forecast and budget accuracy

· Effective working capital management

· Audit outcomes and compliance performance

· Financial control effectiveness

· Team engagement and capability development

· Successful transition and stabilization of NetSuite and Rippling

· Delivery of continuous improvement initiatives

Occupational Safety, Health and Environment

· Champion a culture of safe working

· Ensure all company safety, wellness and environmental policies and procedures are adhered to in accordance with OHSA (Occupational Safety and Health) and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) requirements

· Ensure, so far as reasonably practicable, the health and safety of workers while they are at work

· Ensure consultation with employees on safety and health issues

Food Safety

· Ensure operations are according to our food safety policies and processes including FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and USDA (US Department of Agriculture) compliance plus our HACCP and GMP programs.

· Ensure control of any food safety risks.

KEY QUALITIES:

Qualifications, Skills & Experience (Essential):

· CA or CPA qualified

· 8+ years progressive finance leadership experience

· Experience leading multi-entity finance functions

· Strong financial reporting and control background

· Experience managing finance teams

· Advanced budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis skills

· Strong stakeholder management capability

· Experience working with ERP systems

Qualifications

• Manufacturing, food or FMCG experience

• Experience supporting international operations

• NetSuite implementation experience

• Shared services management experience

• Exposure to US operations and multi-jurisdiction reporting

• Experience building finance functions in growth businesses

Physical Requirements:

· Site-based role within a food manufacturing environment working in the office area.

· Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.

· May require flexibility to support month-end processes, annual stocktakes, audits, off-shift operations, weekends or emergency situations.
