Bilingual Claims Processor

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Bilingual Claims Processor based in Canada.

You will join a specialized insurance operations environment focused on delivering accurate, timely, and compassionate claims handling within the pet insurance sector. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, investigating, and processing insurance claims while ensuring policy compliance and fair eligibility decisions. You will collaborate closely with veterinary professionals, policyholders, and internal teams to assess medical histories and determine appropriate coverage outcomes. The position requires strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and clear communication in both English and French. You will contribute directly to improving the claims experience for pet owners while supporting the financial and operational integrity of insurance processes. This is a fully remote role offering stability, training, and exposure to a growing and mission-driven industry.

Accountabilities:
  • Investigate, evaluate, and process pet insurance claims in accordance with policy terms and coverage guidelines
  • Review policy details and medical documentation to determine eligibility and appropriate compensation decisions
  • Collaborate with veterinary clinics and policyholders to assess medical history and establish baseline health information
  • Request and analyze medical records from external providers when required to support claim assessments
  • Communicate claim decisions clearly and professionally to policyholders, providers, and stakeholders
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance throughout the claims review and decision-making process
  • Support ongoing communication with clients and veterinary partners during treatment and claim evaluation
  • Maintain high-quality service standards while handling multiple claims in a structured and timely manner
  • Perform additional administrative and operational tasks as needed to support claims operations

Requirements:

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French (spoken and written) is required
  • 3+ years of experience in the veterinary field as a licensed technician, or 5+ years as a veterinary assistant
  • High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education in a related field is an asset
  • Veterinary technician licensure is strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of veterinary medical terminology and clinical documentation
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret complex medical and policy information
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and veterinary professionals
  • Ability to manage multiple cases in a structured, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment in claims evaluation
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
