EDUCATION: Bachelor’s in Accounting or Business Administration required. MBA or CPA preferred.
EXPERIENCE: 15 or more years of progressive experience in accounting/finance in manufacturing. Public accounting experience preferred.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Company is seeking a hands-on self-starter CFO to lead its finance and accounting functions. In addition to the typical responsibilities of leading the finance and accounting functions, the candidate will be expected to gain comfort working in a leveraged environment and manage the lender relationships alongside professionals from the PE sponsor. The candidate will also be expected to lead the Company’s IT function and implement robust operational reporting including detailed costing and margin analysis. Experience in a manufacturing sector is required, and a history of operating in leveraged environments is preferred.
SUMMARY:
- Robust financial and accounting background, including strong academic and professional qualifications (CPA not required but a plus)
- Extremely strong problem-solving/action-orientated CFO with a hands-on mindset; capable of migrating an organization to data-driven decision-making culture focused on understanding costs and performing margin analysis.
- Experience with M&A transactions and post-merger integration activities – facility consolidations, operational reporting and tracking, IT (specific experience with cloud-based ERP software is not required but a plus) and accounting platform integrations, etc.
- Strong analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills
- Broad experience with various types of internal and external reporting, including management plan preparation and budgeting
- Experience at managing a staff of finance and IT professionals
- Experience with debt financing, covenant tracking, cash management, and working with lender syndicates
- Experience working with a private equity owner would be a plus
- Interest in operating as primary financial contact for a high-involvement private equity firm
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Manage internal finance and operational control functions, including cash management and tax reporting
- Implement accounting policies, procedures, cost accounting supervision, and internal controls
- Develop annual and monthly financial budgets and forecasts
- Identify and manage business risks and insurance requirements
- Oversee financial and operational systems implementation (in some locations), integration, and upgrades
- Lead annual audit process
- Generate monthly reporting packages
- Manage lender relationships and debt reporting requirements
