About the Opportunity
Rice Seafood Holdings LLC is seeking a driven, results-oriented Area Director to lead operations across our growing portfolio of Captain D's restaurants. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, team development, guest satisfaction, and financial performance in a dynamic QSR environment. Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily operations for 6-8 Captain D's restaurant locations, ensuring adherence to brand standards, food safety, and operational excellence.
• Lead, coach, and develop General Managers and restaurant teams to build high-performing, engaged crews focused on guest experience.
• Drive sales growth, control costs (labor, food, operating expenses), and meet or exceed P&L targets.
• Conduct regular restaurant visits, audits, and performance reviews to identify opportunities and implement action plans.
• Recruit, train, and retain top talent; support succession planning and internal promotions.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, health/safety regulations, and Captain D's brand guidelines.
• Collaborate with the Vice President of Operations on strategic initiatives, acquisitions, new openings, and market performance.
• Manage inventory, vendor relationships, maintenance, and capital projects effectively.
• Champion guest satisfaction and handle escalated guest concerns professionally.
• Travel frequently throughout the Pensacola to Alexandria, LA market to support locations and teams.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Minimum 2-3+ years of multi-unit (5+ restaurants) management experience in QSR, fast-casual, or full-service restaurants (Captain D's or similar seafood/quick-service preferred).
• Proven ability to drive sales, control costs, and improve operational metrics.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills with a track record of promoting from within.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficient in P&L management, budgeting, and reporting.
• Must be willing and able to travel extensively within the market and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain) and knowledge of food safety standards.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
