Referral Coordinator - House Clinic LA & OC in Dallas, Texas at TEXASCONNECT INC

The Referral Coordinator works under general supervision and is responsible for the coordination of patient referrals, to include submission, tracking, patient scheduling, and closing the loop on all referrals as well as the coordination of treatment for hospital and/or ancillary services. Entails communicating with Office and UM staff as well as Payors and patients. The Referral Coordinator ensures an efficient referral process which provides a seamless consistent process of referral for the patient across all providers/specialties.

Good memory, pleasant voice; knowledge and ability to perform tasks with Microsoft Office software

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
Required:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 3 years of experience in a medical office or hospital setting, including previous experience with ICD-9 & CPT coding systems
Knowledge of medical terminology

Preferred:
Basic knowledge of frequently ordered diagnostic tests
Bilingual Spanish
