VBDC Agent

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a VBDC Agent based in Canada.

This role is an exciting opportunity for a customer-focused sales professional to connect online vehicle shoppers with automotive dealerships.
As the first point of contact for potential buyers, you will play a key role in understanding customer needs and creating meaningful conversations that drive dealership visits.
You will combine sales expertise, communication skills, and automotive knowledge to deliver a seamless customer experience.
Working remotely, you will collaborate with teams dedicated to improving the digital automotive journey and helping customers make confident purchasing decisions.

Accountabilities:

The VBDC Agent is responsible for engaging with online vehicle shoppers, identifying sales opportunities, and helping connect customers with dealership partners. This role requires strong communication skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to achieve performance targets while maintaining a high standard of service.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers who have expressed interest in purchasing a new or used vehicle.
  • Engage with customers by phone and email to understand their needs, answer questions, and encourage dealership visits.
  • Identify customer buying intent and qualify sales opportunities effectively.
  • Achieve and exceed sales objectives, customer service standards, call quality expectations, and performance targets.
  • Maintain professionalism and provide a positive customer experience throughout all interactions.
  • Build trust with customers through personalized communication and relevant recommendations.
  • Manage customer conversations efficiently while balancing service quality and productivity goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and dealership partners to support successful customer journeys.
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities, processes, and business objectives.
  • Complete additional responsibilities and projects assigned by management.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a motivated sales professional with strong communication abilities, automotive knowledge, and a passion for delivering excellent customer experiences. This role requires someone who is proactive, adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a performance-driven environment.

  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience with a demonstrated ability to identify and convert sales opportunities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to create engaging and relevant customer interactions.
  • Fluency in both English and French is required.
  • Strong knowledge of the automotive industry and vehicle purchasing process.
  • Customer-focused mindset with excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage conversations effectively and influence customer decisions.
  • Strong initiative, adaptability, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable working toward measurable sales goals and performance objectives.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple customer interactions.
  • Previous experience in digital sales, automotive retail, customer service, or lead generation is an asset.
