The Technical Services Sr. Specialist will develop and execute technical service strategies for strategic accounts, providing expertise and guidance to improve customer outcomes. This role requires strong field knowledge, analytical capabilities, and the ability to build trusted relationships with customers and internal teams.
- Plan and execute technical service strategies in collaboration with account leaders, technical teams, genetic specialists, and commercial stakeholders.
- Manage customer visit planning, activity calendars, and technical support initiatives for assigned strategic accounts.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer profitability and operational performance through technical recommendations and solutions.
- Deliver hands-on training, coaching, and educational sessions for farm employees and internal teams on dairy management practices.
- Monitor the effectiveness of implemented solutions and training programs, tracking progress and measurable business impact.
- Prepare and present visit reports, performance reviews, and product validation insights for customers and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain strategic account information and support financial validation processes.
- Participate in global technical teams and contribute knowledge to broader strategic initiatives.
- Address technical questions from customers, prospects, and internal teams by providing accurate and actionable guidance.
- Create technical content and communications for internal and external channels.
- Collect and analyze field performance data to support product validation and demonstrate customer value.
- Represent the organization at industry meetings, producer events, and professional gatherings to share expertise and stay current with industry developments.
The ideal candidate is a dairy industry professional with strong technical expertise, customer-facing experience, and the ability to translate data into practical solutions. They should be comfortable working independently in a remote environment while collaborating with diverse teams and customers across regions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine, Dairy Science, Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of applied technical experience in dairy production, including reproductive management, genetics, herd health, transition management, cow comfort, milk quality, calf management, nutrition, or related areas.
- Experience training, coaching, and developing farm personnel or technical teams.
- Experience analyzing customer performance data and validating the impact of products or solutions.
- Fluency in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken formats.
- Strong ability to create technical reports, presentations, and educational materials.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical capabilities and familiarity with dairy management software such as DC 305, BoviSync, PC Dart, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to travel approximately 50% within North America and support customer needs across assigned regions.
- Passion for helping customers improve operational performance through technical expertise and innovation.
- Competitive salary range of $95,000 – $120,000 USD, depending on experience, qualifications, location, and skills.
