Histotechnician (HT) in South Bend, Indiana at South Bend Medical Foundation Inc

We are seeking either a Histotechnologist or Histotechnician to join our day shift! This full-time position (5:00 AM - 1:30 PM Monday - Friday with Saturday rotation) is responsible for:

• Processing, embedding, sectioning, staining and labeling of surgical specimens.
• Performing high complexity testing and special staining as assigned under the direction of appropriate personnel.
• Preparing reagents and dilutions for special stains and performs special stains, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence stains.

Option 1 Histotechnologist (HTL):

Bachelors' of Science degree and completion of a histotechnology program. Certification as a histotechnologist (HTL) by an appropriate accrediting agency ie ASCP. Previous histology experience desired.

Option 2 Histotech (HT):

High school graduate with completion of an accredited histology program. Certification as a histotechnician (HT) by an appropriate accrediting agency ie ASCP. Previous histology experience desired.
