Job Description
Perioperative Technician
The Perioperative Assistant supports the peri-operative unit by preparing operating rooms for surgical procedures, assisting in surgical patient positioning, cleaning operating/procedure rooms after surgical and GI procedures, cleaning and disinfecting equipment, assisting in transporting patients within the department and throughout the hospital, stocking medical and patient care supplies throughout the department, and ensuring surgical attire is stocked. Requirements include: Current and valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, being on your feet for an 8-hour shift.
