This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Product Designer - Growth based in United States.

This is a high-impact Staff Product Design role focused on shaping the earliest stages of the customer journey, from sign-up through onboarding and initial product value.
You will help create experiences that make it easier for customers to discover, adopt, and grow with a complex SaaS product.
Your work will directly influence activation, conversion, retention, and the overall quality of customers’ first 90 days.
You’ll combine user research, behavioral data, experimentation, and strong product design craft to identify opportunities and reduce friction.
The role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to shape a newly forming Activation team and its strategic direction.
You’ll partner closely with product managers, engineers, data specialists, and designers while influencing stakeholders through clear storytelling and thoughtful leadership.
This is an ideal opportunity for a senior design leader who thrives in ambiguity, values measurable impact, and is excited to use AI to enhance modern design workflows.

Accountabilities
  • Advocate for customers by grounding design decisions in user research, behavioral data, and a deep understanding of customer needs.
  • Shape the customer experience from initial sign-up through onboarding, setup, and the first 90 days of product usage.
  • Identify and remove friction points that contribute to drop-off, helping more customers reach meaningful product value quickly.
  • Design experiences that improve activation, conversion, retention, and other key growth metrics.
  • Own a defined set of activation metrics and use data to determine where to investigate, what to build, and which opportunities to pursue.
  • Design, run, and evaluate experiments to validate hypotheses and improve measurable product outcomes.
  • Translate research findings, behavioral insights, and experiment results into clear and confident design decisions.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, data partners, and other designers to create cohesive and scalable customer experiences.
  • Align cross-functional stakeholders around design direction, priorities, and experimentation strategies.
  • Use storytelling and strong communication to influence teams and build confidence around product decisions.
  • Contribute to the broader product design strategy and help establish a high standard of craft, customer empathy, and experimentation.
  • Explore and apply AI tools to accelerate prototyping, synthesize research, identify patterns in data, and improve everyday design workflows.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of professional product design experience, ideally within SaaS or another complex digital product environment.
  • Demonstrated experience designing for growth, particularly activation, onboarding, conversion funnels, and other key stages of the customer journey.
  • Strong understanding of growth metrics and the ability to connect design decisions to measurable product outcomes.
  • Proven experience designing and running product experiments, analyzing results, and translating data into actionable design decisions.
  • Strong user research skills and the ability to combine qualitative insights with quantitative and behavioral data.
  • Fluency with modern product design tools and iterative design methodologies.
  • Experience working closely with product managers, engineers, data specialists, and other designers in cross-functional environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence without relying on formal authority.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently, navigate ambiguity, and make thoughtful decisions in a fast-moving environment.
  • A strong customer-centric mindset, with genuine curiosity about user behavior and motivation to continuously improve experiences.
  • Genuine interest in AI and practical experience incorporating AI tools into daily workflows, such as rapid prototyping, research analysis, and data exploration.
  • Strong storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and build alignment across teams.
Benefits
  • Annual salary range of $144,000–$225,000, with most new hires joining at an accomplished level around $180,000.
  • Compensation designed to grow with your skills, experience, and impact.
  • Regular career development and compensation conversations with your manager.
  • Comprehensive benefits package.
  • Remote work flexibility across Canada and the US, with a globally distributed team environment.
  • Opportunity to work on meaningful products used by thousands of professional clinics and their teams.
  • High degree of autonomy and ownership over impactful growth initiatives.
  • Opportunity to help shape a newly established Activation team and influence product strategy.
  • Collaborative environment focused on learning, experimentation, continuous improvement, and customer impact.
  • Opportunity to work with modern AI tools and contribute to evolving AI-enabled workflows.
