jR. SOFTWARE ENGINEER
  • General Description

    The Software Engineer I is an entry-level embedded software engineering position responsible for supporting the development, testing, and validation of low-level and application software used to control automotive lighting systems.

    Responsibilities

    • Support the design and implementation of embedded software for automotive lighting control systems.
    • Develop, code, debug, test, and troubleshoot software throughout the product development process.
    • Define and maintain software requirements and related engineering documentation.
    • Create and update software design documentation, including DFMEA and test plans.
    • Support software validation, unit testing, and test-environment setup.
    • Assist with troubleshooting and data acquisition activities as needed.
    • Follow internal project development and program management processes.

    Job Requirements

    Work Experience

    • 02 years of relevant engineering experience.
    • Hands-on academic, internship, or professional experience with embedded systems preferred.
    • Experience using debugging and testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, debuggers, and signal generators preferred.

    Education

    • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Knowledge of embedded software development and architecture.
    • Understanding of basic hardware and electrical schematics.
    • Experience or familiarity with C programming.
    • Knowledge of software testing, debugging, and validation processes.
    • Familiarity with automotive communication protocols such as CAN and LIN preferred.
    • Familiarity with tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, RTW, Vector CAN tools, or CANoe preferred.
