Overview

The Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, and Intelligence (C5I) Platform Integration Team oversees the integration of Non-Propulsion Electronic Systems (NPES) across the VIRGINIA (VA), COLUMBIA (CLB), and SSN(X) platforms. In this role, engineers utilize systems engineering principles to support the physical and electronic integration of NPES for new construction, modernization efforts, and early concept development. This position requires regular collaboration with NAVSEA, NUWC, EB program offices, and other internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Review and manage the configuration of C5I system technical data, including the consumption of Government Furnished Information/Government Furnished Equipment (GFI/GFE) into platform designs and CFE interfaces
  • Apply system engineering methodologies to lead platform-level assessments of C5I modernization changes for VA and CLB platforms
  • Lead the development of SSN(X) platform interface designs, trade studies, and baseline concepts
  • Coordinate and communicate with NAVSEA, NUWC, EB program office, and other CWS/EB stakeholders


Responsibilities

  • Effective communicator; strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly motivated; self-starter with proven ability to prioritize and drive tasks forward
  • Demonstrated ability to lead engineering tasks and projects


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s of Science degree or higher in Engineering
  • 5+ years of post-graduate engineering experience
  • Knowledge of CATIA, NX, Teamcenter, and Submarine Design Principles
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance through the Department of Defense

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree or higher in Electrical or Systems Engineering
  • Systems engineering, development, integration, installation, and testing
  • In-depth knowledge of submarine NPES and Combat Weapon Systems
