Job Description
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating maintenance activities to support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the facility.
Responsibilities include:
- Directing and coordinating the daily activities of maintenance personnel.
- Performing and overseeing general and preventive maintenance of company property, facilities, and equipment.
- Maintaining, reviewing, and recommending improvements to the company's Preventive Maintenance Program.
- Establishing maintenance priorities in coordination with plant leadership and production needs.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date departmental logs and maintenance records.
- Supporting special projects, including first article tooling, special items, and production trial runs.
- Communicating established procedures and instructions to maintenance personnel and designated plant employees.
- Ensuring company vehicles are properly maintained and required vehicle logs are kept current.
- Participating in production meetings and providing maintenance updates, recommendations, and input.
- Working collaboratively with Production, Engineering, and other departments to support operational needs.
- Keeping plant leadership informed of maintenance activities, priorities, and facility concerns.
- Managing maintenance activities and resources efficiently while minimizing unnecessary overtime.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment and setting a positive example for employees.
- Performing other related duties as necessary to support facility operations.
Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred. Previous supervisory or leadership experience is also preferred. The successful candidate should possess strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively lead and provide direction to maintenance personnel.
The position requires the ability to organize and prioritize multiple maintenance needs, adapt to changing production demands, and communicate effectively with employees and leadership across multiple departments. Candidates should be dependable, organized, capable of maintaining accurate records and documentation, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
