This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an IT Infrastructure Manager based in India.
As an IT Infrastructure Manager, you will provide strategic and technical guidance to clients across their IT infrastructure and technology environments. You will act as a trusted technology advisor, helping clients plan, implement, and optimize their IT roadmaps. The role combines infrastructure expertise, project management, client relationship building, and high-quality technical support. You will work closely with US-based clients and help ensure technology initiatives remain aligned with business objectives. Your responsibilities will span project planning, infrastructure strategy, technology proposals, and roadmap execution. This is a fully remote opportunity designed for an experienced IT professional who can work independently while maintaining strong client relationships. - Develop comprehensive IT project plans covering scope, timelines, resource requirements, deliverables, and budget considerations.
- Proactively manage project scope and changes to ensure technology initiatives remain aligned with agreed objectives and timelines.
- Build and maintain trusted-advisor relationships with clients, providing responsive, professional, and high-quality customer service.
- Develop a strong understanding of each customer's business environment, technology landscape, operational needs, and long-term objectives.
- Provide strategic guidance on IT infrastructure, technology solutions, and broader IT planning to help clients make informed decisions.
- Prepare, present, and follow up on IT hardware and software proposals based on customer requirements and technology needs.
- Follow established processes and documentation standards when completing technical and project-related tasks.
- Manage the implementation of technology roadmaps defined by the vCIO, ensuring initiatives are executed effectively and aligned with client priorities.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in IT roles such as IT Manager, IT Director, Technical Account Manager, Network/Systems Engineer, Solutions Architect, vCIO, or CIO.
- Fluent English communication skills, with the ability to provide a high level of professional customer service to US-based clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a comparable combination of professional experience and technical expertise.
- Relevant IT certifications such as Microsoft MCP, MCSA, or MCSE are highly valued.
- Extensive experience working with US-based companies and their employees, with a strong understanding of professional IT service expectations.
- Broad knowledge of Windows Server and Windows Desktop operating systems.
- Strong project management, organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent phone, written, verbal, interpersonal, and relationship-building communication skills.
- Highly independent and self-motivated, with the ability to work effectively with little or no direct supervision.
- Detail-oriented and quality-focused approach, combined with strong organizational skills, reliability, and punctuality.
- Entrepreneurial, ambitious, curious, and passionate about technology and continuous learning.
- Ability to type at least 50 words per minute and maintain a secure, quiet home working environment suitable for professional client calls.
- Reliable internet connection of at least 20 Mbps download speed and dependable power; a whole-house UPS is required where power reliability is an issue.
- Willingness to make a long-term commitment and ability to successfully complete a background check.
- Additional experience with an MSP environment, ConnectWise Manage, ITIL, or technologies from vendors such as Microsoft, Ubiquiti, WatchGuard, Axis Communications, Lenovo, and HP is a plus.
- Annual compensation of 16,00,000–18,00,000 or more, depending on skills and experience.
- Fully remote position working from a home office in India.
- Working hours aligned with IST afternoon/evening hours, including a one-hour break.
- 30 days of paid time off per year.
