Job Description

Description:

Clinical Research Coordinator

Experienced Clinical Research Coordinator or clinical career-changer?

Location: Shreveport, LA (medical office; hybrid/remote flexibility for the right person; some travel possible)

Type: Full-time · Non-exempt

Bring your clinical instincts — build a research career

Are you an experienced nurse, tech, or clinical professional looking to move off the floor and into a role with predictable hours and long-term growth? Clinical research may be your next step — and we’ll help you make it. We welcome both experienced coordinators and strong clinical professionals ready to transition in. If you’re detail-driven, dependable, and ready to own your studies, we’ll support your GCP training and sponsor your certification.

As a Clinical Research Coordinator at SAON, you’ll run the day-to-day of clinical trials — consenting participants, collecting accurate data, safeguarding participant safety, and keeping studies compliant — working closely with sponsors and sites to uphold the protocol and the highest ethical standards.

What you’ll do

  • Manage the day-to-day conduct of clinical trials in compliance with 21 CFR, GCP, and the SAON Quality Program.
  • Screen and identify participants; obtain and document informed consent, clearly explaining procedures and risks.
  • Coordinate and conduct study visits; collect and process samples; record accurate study data.
  • Prepare and manage regulatory documents — protocol worksheets, IRB submissions, adverse-event reports — and maintain the Trial Master File.
  • Monitor data quality, resolve queries in EDC, and prepare for and support sponsor and regulatory audits.
  • Partner with investigators, site staff, vendors, and sponsors to keep studies on track, on timeline, and on budget.

What we’re looking for

  • Precision and integrity — you follow the protocol exactly and document honestly, every time.
  • Independence and ownership — you manage many moving parts to deadline without being told what’s next.
  • Composure under scrutiny — you welcome monitoring and audits as a way to get it right.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving — with patients, colleagues, and sponsors.
  • EMR/PACS and Microsoft Office familiarity; comfort learning EDC platforms.
  • Comfort with computers, tablets, and documentation — Microsoft Office; EMR/PACS familiarity is a plus.
  • Positive and Personable – cultivates strong working relationships with physicians and patients

Benefits & Perks

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Employer-paid basic life and AD&D insurance
  • Employer-paid short-term and long-term disability coverage
  • Voluntary supplemental life insurance options
  • 401(k) retirement plan with automatic enrollment
  • Paid vacation and sick leave
  • 7.5 paid company holidays
  • 2 floating holidays annually after 90 days of employment
  • Access to select domestic network healthcare services at no cost
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits start 1st of the month following 30 days of employment
Requirements:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in a science or health-related field.
  • Clinical research experience preferred, but not required for the right clinical professional. Experienced RNs/LPNs and clinical staff transitioning into research are encouraged to apply — we provide training and mentorship.
  • ACRP-CP or CCRC certification, or willingness to obtain it — sponsorship provided.
  • Working knowledge of FDA regulations and GCP guidelines, or readiness to build it quickly.

Work Authorization: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future. SAON is not able to provide employment visa sponsorship for this position.
