THE ROLE

As Business Development Consultant, you will be responsible for developing Wella’s professional salon business across the Oslo area, covering the territory from Halden to Hamar. You will manage and develop an established portfolio of salon customers while proactively identifying and winning new business opportunities. This is a field-based commercial role for someone who enjoys building strong customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities and delivering results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and develop an established portfolio of approximately 118 buying customers, representing around NOK 12 million in net sales.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with salon customers across the territory.
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through the Wella portfolio.
  • Proactively prospect, approach and develop new salon customers across the territory.
  • Deliver against an annual target of at least 10 new customer acquisitions.
  • Plan and prioritize customer visits and commercial activities effectively across the territory.
  • Understand customers’ business needs and identify opportunities where Wella products and solutions can support their growth.
  • Take ownership of the performance and continued development of the assigned territory.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

  • Strong motivation to develop and grow business, with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, organize priorities and manage a field-based territory.
  • Professional hair/beauty industry experience is preferred; however, candidates with strong B2B field sales experience from other industries will also be considered.
  • Ability and motivation to both develop existing customer relationships and proactively win new business.

Desirable

  • Previous experience working within the professional hair or salon industry.
  • Previous B2B field sales, account management or business development experience.
  • Understanding of the professional salon environment and its commercial drivers.
  • Experience working with sales targets and growing a customer portfolio.
