Talent Acquisition Operations Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Talent Acquisition Operations Manager based in India.

This role leads the operational engine behind a scalable, efficient, and compliant global talent acquisition function. You will oversee TA operations across multiple business units, regions, and countries while leading a team of operations professionals. The position combines people leadership, recruiting operations, process governance, systems management, analytics, and continuous improvement. You will partner closely with Talent Acquisition, HR, Hiring Managers, IT, Finance, Legal, Onboarding, and external sourcing providers to deliver a consistent hiring experience. A key focus will be improving processes through standardization, automation, technology enhancements, and data-driven decision-making. You will also play an important role in maintaining compliance, data integrity, audit readiness, and operational service levels. This is an opportunity for an experienced TA operations leader to influence global hiring strategy while driving measurable operational excellence.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Talent Acquisition Operations team, establishing clear performance expectations, KPIs, service levels, and development plans.
  • Oversee end-to-end recruiting operations across multiple regions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of requisitions, offer letters, system transactions, and operational requests.
  • Ensure candidate, requisition, and recruiting data is accurately maintained across Workday and other relevant recruiting systems.
  • Monitor operational SLAs, service standards, quality metrics, and recruiting workflows, taking corrective action when performance falls below expectations.
  • Oversee recruitment governance, approvals, compliance processes, audit readiness, and operational controls.
  • Coordinate onboarding readiness by ensuring required pre-employment and operational activities are completed on time.
  • Manage access, utilization, invoice tracking, and coordination with sourcing platforms and external recruitment technology providers.
  • Identify operational risks and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve service quality and reliability.
  • Drive standardization, process optimization, automation, and digital transformation initiatives across global Talent Acquisition Operations.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of SOPs, process documentation, policies, and governance frameworks.
  • Support Workday enhancements, testing, implementations, release activities, and change management initiatives.
  • Build strong partnerships with Talent Acquisition, HR, Hiring Managers, Onboarding, Finance, Legal, IT/ATS teams, and external sourcing vendors.
  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for recruiting processes and systems, resolving complex issues and escalations.
  • Lead operational governance meetings and communicate service performance, risks, trends, and improvement opportunities to leadership.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and reports covering requisition processing, offer turnaround, onboarding readiness, SLA adherence, operational quality, and other key metrics.
  • Analyze operational trends and use insights to recommend improvements and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure reporting accuracy, data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with internal policies, employment regulations, and applicable data privacy requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits and maintain appropriate documentation and operational controls.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • 8–12 years of experience in Talent Acquisition Operations, Recruiting Operations, HR Operations, Shared Services, or a related function, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Proven experience managing global Talent Acquisition or HR Operations teams across multiple regions or business units.
  • Strong understanding of recruiting workflows, requisition management, offer management, onboarding coordination, operational governance, and service delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and optimizing operational processes, policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks.
  • Strong experience managing KPIs, SLAs, operational reporting, dashboards, and performance metrics.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Recruiting or a comparable recruiting module, ATS platforms, and HR technology ecosystems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and reporting or analytics tools.
  • Strong stakeholder management, problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate independently, manage competing priorities, and make sound operational decisions with limited supervision.
  • Experience leading automation, process improvement, or digital transformation initiatives is highly valuable.
  • Experience with Workday implementations, enhancements, testing, and release management is preferred.
  • Knowledge of recruitment compliance, governance, audit practices, and data privacy requirements is preferred.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled recruiting technologies and workflow automation tools is an advantage.
  • Professional certification in Human Resources, Project Management, Lean Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence is preferred.
