This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Information Security Engineer based in Brazil.
This is a senior security engineering opportunity focused on protecting enterprise applications, infrastructure, cloud environments, and identity services. You’ll design, implement, maintain, and automate security solutions across a complex and highly regulated environment. The role combines Identity and Access Management expertise with broader information security engineering and operational responsibilities. You’ll work closely with enterprise IT teams and stakeholders across global time zones to deliver secure, reliable solutions. You’ll also contribute to security strategy, compliance, automation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. As a senior member of the team, you’ll have the opportunity to mentor engineers and influence security practices across the organization.
- Configure, administer, automate, troubleshoot, and maintain identity and access management platforms and related security infrastructure.
- Design, implement, and maintain security applications and services that protect enterprise systems, applications, infrastructure, and cloud resources.
- Work closely with Enterprise IT teams to secure access to infrastructure and applications while supporting business and security requirements.
- Develop and maintain information security strategies, controls, procedures, standards, and technical requirements.
- Monitor systems and security environments for irregular or suspicious activity and implement preventive and corrective measures.
- Manage business-critical security tasks, including administration, incident troubleshooting, vulnerability remediation, and maintenance of global security tools.
- Identify, document, and assess security requirements, recommending practical solutions and improvements to management and stakeholders.
- Develop, execute, and track security measures designed to protect information, servers, applications, and computer systems.
- Automate security and identity processes using scripting and modern engineering practices to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation, standards, assessment findings, reports, and recommendations for security enhancements.
- Collaborate across teams to deliver projects and operational initiatives from inception through completion while meeting defined timelines.
- Support a global operating environment, including participation in an on-call rotation that may involve occasional night or weekend coverage.
- Mentor other engineers, sharing technical expertise and supporting professional development.
- Contribute to the secure adoption of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and automated access-management capabilities.
- 3+ years of professional experience engineering and implementing security solutions that meet security, compliance, and business requirements.
- Hands-on administrative and development experience with Identity and Access Management platforms, including installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of IAM governance, identity lifecycle management, access controls, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with scripting and automation, including languages such as Java.
- Strong knowledge of modern IT infrastructure, networking, operating systems, access controls, and security engineering concepts.
- Familiarity with recognized security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS.
- Experience troubleshooting information security issues within complex enterprise environments.
- Ability to develop, implement, and maintain security controls and technologies across distributed systems and infrastructure.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills, with the ability to explain technical security concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with high-performing, globally distributed teams.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, security, compliance, and high-quality delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to balance rapid execution with the requirements of a highly regulated environment.
- Experience mentoring engineers technically and professionally is highly valued.
- Familiarity with Okta, Auth0, Delinea PAM, CrowdStrike Identity Protection, AI-enabled access management, security process automation, or vulnerability remediation is an advantage.
