HTI is seeking an experienced PLC Technician for a direct-hire opportunity with an automotive manufacturing client in Spartanburg, SC. This is a strong opportunity for a controls-focused technician who enjoys troubleshooting complex automated equipment and working hands-on with Siemens, Allen-Bradley, PLCs, HMIs, and industrial electrical systems.

Opportunity to work with advanced PLC and automated manufacturing systems
Troubleshoot and program PLC-controlled production equipment
Work with Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and other PLC platforms
Diagnose and repair electrical issues on automated manufacturing equipment
Set up and modify control programs on operator panels/HMIs
Update PLC and HMI programs to support process and production changes
Maintain and modify existing industrial automation and control systems
Create, organize, and maintain backups of PLC and peripheral equipment programs
Analyze equipment issues and develop effective troubleshooting solutions
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability and manufacturability
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Associate degree from a two-year college/technical school or equivalent technical background
3+ years of related maintenance, controls, or programming experience
At least 2 years of experience in an industrial automotive manufacturing environment
Hands-on PLC troubleshooting and programming experience
Experience with Siemens, Allen-Bradley, GE Fanuc, or similar PLC platforms
Siemens experience strongly preferred
Strong industrial electrical and automation troubleshooting skills
Ability to troubleshoot, service, and modify automated equipment
Ability to read and interpret technical and electrical information
Strong analytical and root-cause problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Knowledge of electrical and machine safety standards such as NFPA, NEC, and IEC/EN 62061 is a plus
