Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Chief of Police/or his designee, the Domestic Violence Advocate is given the authority and responsibility to administer and coordinate the role of the department in victim and witness assistance services. The advocate shall act as a liaison between victims and witnesses of Domestic Violence-related crimes and the Victim/Witness Assistance Service of the District Attorney’s Office and check to ensure that victims and witnesses were notified of their rights.
